Welcome! Arrival in Umbria after lunch, accommodation in Agriturismo / Hotel 3* between Foligno and Perugia according to availability at the time of confirmation. In the afternoon, we suggest a free visit of Montefalco.

An Umbrian village of incredible history and beauty, Montefalco is surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, situated on a hilltop overlooking the plain of the Topino and Clitunno rivers. Montefalco is called the railing of Umbria; from its belvederes, in fact, it is possible to admire a 360-degree panorama over the entire valley between Perugia and Spoleto, from the slopes of the Subappennines to those of the Martani Mountains. The village, which develops in a halo of charming cobbled alleys all around the marvellous central square, boasts numerous points of interest: the city walls, theVerziere Tower, and the magnificent museum centre of San Francesco. The complex, built by the Friars Minor between 1335 and 1338, houses spectacular frescoes by Benozzo Gozzoli depicting episodes from the life of St Francis, and numerous other works of great beauty and inestimable value.

Approx. 21:00 - Rich welcome dinner in a farmhouse/restaurant selected by us, drinks included. After dinner, return to accommodation and overnight stay.

Good morning! Following breakfast at the agriturismo / 3* hotel, you will depart for Narni and reach the meeting point with the expert excursion guide who will accompany you. Together with the guide, you will make a pleasant trekking excursion to the Piscine Naturali di Narni, ahidden gem of rare beauty. Walking along a pleasant itinerary through the woods, the ancient village of Stifone, an old railway and a wonderful cycle path, your excitement will ignite at the sight of the natural pools, formed by the Nera river within a narrow valley. Tasting some Umbrian delicacies prepared especially for you, you will be able to contemplate the crystal-clear waters in turquoise and emerald shades that caress the rocks enclosed by wild nature, a true corner of paradise. Packed lunch included.

In the afternoon, transfer to the Marmore waterfalls for an independent visit. The Marmore Waterfalls, with its 165 metres divided into three jumps, is the highest artificial waterfall in Europe. The waterfall is located in the Terni Valnerina territory and in the Nera River Park, also known as the Parco Fluviale delle Acque (Water Park), a protected area that finds its point of excellence in the waterfall: an environment extraordinarily rich in cultural, historical and environmental evidence. You will have time to independently visit the waterfall's paths, relax at one of the many belvederes, buy some souvenirs and above all take photos to take with you the extraordinary beauty of this place. Entrance ticket included.

Breakfast at the Agritourism / 3* Hotel, check-out and before leaving our region, we suggest you reach the historic centre of Assisi to take a walk in the city of peace.

Pax et Bonum! This is the greeting with which Assisi welcomes you, a Franciscan place par excellence, not only in Umbria and Italy, but throughout the world. St Francis was in fact born in Assisi in 1182; in the place where his birthplace is believed to have been located, today stands the Chiesa Nuova. It is in Assisi that he was baptised, in the Cathedral of San Rufino, it is among its alleys that he spent his youth dreaming of a future as a valiant knight, it is here, where the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore stands today, in the Piazza del Vescovado, that he stripped himself, repudiating earthly goods for love of God and his brothers and sisters. It is still in Assisi, in the Church of San Damiano, that praying before the crucifix, he receives the task of renewing the Church of Christ, it is in the town square that he begins his preaching and his work of charity and peace, and it is finally here that he dies in 1226. His remains are preserved in the Basilica of St Francis, but the saint still lives on in every stone of Assisi. Stroll through its enchanting alleys and visit the Franciscan sites.
