Perugia is the Umbrian capital that represents many cities in one, all fascinating and all full of history. Among the many monuments, incredible works of art, Etruscan remains and the green countryside, the symbol of Perugia par excellence is probably the Fontana Maggiore with its marble basins decorated with sculpted bas-reliefs. Then there is the Etruscan arch, an enormous gateway to ancient Perusia with travertine blocks. Other buildings to admire include the Palazzo dei Priori (now the Town Hall), the Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo or di Giustizia, the palace of the old University, Palazzo degli Oddi Marini Clarelli, Palazzo Sorbello, Palazzo della Penna, and the Rocca Paolina.

After lunch, we will visit, accompanied by a guide, the city of Assisi and the Franciscan places. Pax et Bonum! It was in Assisi that he was baptised, in the Cathedral of San Rufino, it was in its alleyways that he spent his youth dreaming of a future as a valiant knight, it was here, where the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore stands today, in the Piazza del Vescovado, that he stripped himself, repudiating earthly goods for love of God and his brothers and sisters. It is still in Assisi, in the Church of San Damiano, that praying before the crucifix, he receives the task of renewing the Church of Christ, it is in the town square that he begins his preaching and his work of charity and peace, and it is finally here that he dies in 1226. During this day we will discover one of the oldest traditions in Umbria: truffle hunting. Together with a guide and a faithful four-legged companion, we will learn everything about this ancient craft. At the end of the hunt, lunch-tasting in the woods.

After lunch, with the guide, we will visit Rasiglia, the village of streams, a true Umbrian jewel. The town, which preserves the typical characteristics of a medieval village by gathering in an amphitheatre-like structure, is famous for its springs: walking through the evocative alleys of the centre, it is impossible not to be enchanted by the streams that flow through the town, making it unique and fascinating. Even today, life in Rasiglia continues to be marked by water: the element that passes through weaving, wool processing and dyeing is revived through a very ancient tradition dating back to 1200.
